No scooters

One of our reading prompt was to argue that people are using scooters and almost running over dogs.

I have to complain about the old people on scooters. They have almost run my dog over several times. I think that they should be stopped.

First off if the dog isn’t trained to a lead lead then the owner only has so much control. The dog is in a small radius around the owner, if people are just zooming around on their scooters then then they could hit the dogs.

Secondly, I have heard the dogs are being hit because people don’t see them. They should see an optometrist and get glasses or contact lenses.

In conclusion I think that people riding scooters get some way to improve their eyes and watch out for the dogs.

  1. Hi Solly,

I loved reading this post about scooters. Did you see the news article last year where a man ran away from the police in Timaru on a scooter? It was quite a funny story and someone even videos the chase happening. I always make sure I have scooters heaps of room when I pass them on the street.

    Regards,

    Mrs B.
