Today I am going to be a principal, and for my decision I say we should have a longer school day but ban homework. Here is why.
First off, the students will get more of a chance to learn if the have a Longer school day. Plus if they don’t understand something then the teacher will be there to help. If we don’t ban homework and make the school day longer then if they don’t understand their work they won’t have the teacher around to help them.
Secondly, there are some kids who just don’t do their homework. However if we have a Longer school day then they will have to do their work because the teacher will spot them if they are not dong their work.
In conclusion I think the school day should be longer and we should ban homework because then the kids who don’t do their homework do more work and if kids don’t understand what to do they can ask the teacher.

ReplyDeleteThis was an interesting opinion that you shared. I have to say I disagree with your opinion. I find that children struggle to learn in that last hour of the day so if we made the days even longer it would be of no benefit to the students.

since I'm not a teacher I can't disagree because I don't see it from the perspective of teaching, although I think kids get lease done during the start of the day...
